Hi! My name is Katie Ismael and I am an artist and illustrator who loves bold bright colors and patterns! I spend my time experimenting in my sketchbook and find creating art to be an incredibly calming and transformative act for myself. Please join me as I share what I make and learn from my explorations! Bring some of my artwork home with you as a print, card or a sticker - or gift to your favorite friend here!
December 2025- Happy Holidays Everyone! As this year winds down I am taking time to reflect about the past year and I am so grateful for all the love and support my art has received over the past year. After being pretty quiet on my website for most of this year I have plans to be much more active in 2026 including lots more blogging and tutorials!
XO and Happy New Year!
Katie

Sketchbook Club! 〰️
Taking inspiration from two of my favorite modern artists, Emma Carlisle and Ohn Mar Win, I have decided to start a sketchbook club with the primary goal being to grow as an artist and connect with other artists to create an inviting community to create, share and have fun.
2025 has been an incredible year for growth for me in my art business, however, understandably focusing on the Etsy shop has allowed very little time for organic creation and I have been craving that more and more lately.
My idea for this sketchbook club is wholly selfish. I want to have dedicated time to create. And although I am nervous, I want to be more accountable for sharing my work and being more authentic and vulnerable with showing my art to the world.
January 2026- Exploring Color
For the “four-ish” weeks of January 2026 I will be playing with color in my sketchbook and since things can be easier with a little structure, my goal is to set monthly themes with weekly prompts exploring said theme. For January, an often gray period in Massachusetts, I want to explore and play with color.
For this theme I have created three lists of prompts. If you would like to join in creating, you can take one prompt from any list, one prompt from each list, or simply do your own thing, there is no order to the lists.
But most importantly have fun!
